Technical Manual 1 Data Link system Data link system uses a radio-frequency (RF) transmission to transmit and receive data ,as it provides a two-way communication between the ground station and the UAV. A good datalink include uplink and downlink. The uplink that is operated with a bandwidth of a low data rate(≤150Kbps) and secures sending command data to control the UAV flight path and to communicate with the payload. The downlink that is also with a bandwidth of a low data rate(≤150Kbps) and send telemetry data to the ground station. 2 Overview The ZWTR-1100 UAV data link system is a high performance, industrial grade, long-range radio solution that ensures reliable wireless data communications over long distances. The data link system use spread spectrum (CSS) modulation to provide better receiver sensitivity, multipath performance, and interference rejection. The system supports networking communication including point-to-point, point-to-multipoint and relay. The default operational frequency is 900MHz.The communication range is no less than 150km. 3 Composition The data link system comprises airborne terminal and ground terminal, with the airborne terminal also functioning as a relay. UAV can communicate with the ground terminal via the relay connection.
